Overview
POET Biorefining, located in Preston, MN, is producing 46 million gallons of ethanol annually. It was built by POET, who began building ethanol plants in 1983.
POET Biorefining - Preston is proud to be involved in value-added agriculture in the state of Minnesota and proud to be helping our country achieve energy independence. The plant also provides about 40 good paying jobs for the local area in addition to creating an annual economic impact worth millions of dollars.
Ethanol production by POET Biorefining - Preston consumes nearly 15 million bushels of corn from the region and provides not only an environmentally friendly fuel, but also a valuable high quality livestock feed for local, regional and national markets.
POET Biorefining - Preston is proud to be an integral part of rural economic development, air quality improvement and the single most important and fastest growing value added market for farmers.
