Efficiency Through Technology

While all ethanol is beneficial in the tank of a vehicle, its overall impact on the environment can vary some based on how it is produced. At POET, our goal is to be the low-cost producer in the industry; to wring more value out of a kernel of corn than anyone else. That production efficiency translates into an environmental footprint that is lighter than most.

With our network of 26 ethanol production facilities, we are constantly innovating and testing new efficiencies. Those that improve production efficiency at one facility can be quickly implemented across the entire network. In addition, POET works with the communities where our production facilities are located in an effort to use fewer natural resources and less energy.

Here's a brief overview of some of areas of innovation and what we're working on for the future.
